Dr.Mingbo Wu is a professor, Director of Heavy Oil Based New Carbon Materials Lab,Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, China University of Petroleum,China. His research interests have been focused on the development of newmethodologies for synthesis of functional carbon materials, and their uses incatalysis, energy conversion/storage and environment protection. He receivedhis first degree in chemistry from Liaocheng University of China in 1996, MEngdegree from Institute of Coal Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1998,and PhD degree in chemical engineering from Dalian University of Technology in2004. He has received a number of awards, including First Class Award forachievements in technological invention from China Petroleum and ChemicalIndustry Foundation, Runners-up Award for achievements in technologicalinvention from the Education Ministry of China, Youth Science and TechnologyAward from Shandong Province, and the Young Teacher's Award from the EducationMinistry of China. He has co-authored over 150 papers in peer-reviewed journals.
