Professor, Ph.D. supervisor, national expert, and Russian Academy of Natural Sciences academician. Bachelor's (1982) and master's (1985) from Nanjing University, Ph.D. (1987) from Fudan University. Worked at the University of Hamburg (Humboldt Scholar, 1990-1992) and NYU (Research Assistant Professor, 1992-1994). Director of Akron University's NMR Center (1994-2013) and Sinopec Beijing Chemical Research Institute's chief expert (2013-2018). Currently a professor and Ph.D. supervisor at Jiangsu University of Science and Technology, and Russian Academy academician (2021-present). Published 20 patents and 152 SCI papers. Research includes polymer chemistry, NMR, carbon quantum dots, luminescent polymers, metal/carbon nanomaterials, and graphene polymer composites. Review expert for the National Natural Science Foundation (since 2004), Yangtze River Scholars Program (since 2012), and major/key/outstanding youth projects (since 2013). National talent, project review expert for the Ministry of Science and Technology, and entrepreneurial mentor for the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
