Guqiao Ding is a researcher and doctoral supervisor of SIMIT, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He started researching graphene since 2009, applied first graphene patent in 2010. Dr. Ding is actively involved in material research in exploring innovative preparation, batch preparation, and application of graphene materials, especially powders and slurries. He has been authorized over 50 patents, and published over 200 SCI papers with citation over 10,000 times in journals including Adv. Material, Adv. Funct. Mater., Chem. Mater., Carbon and so on.
Dr. Ding took on the industrialization technology development of graphene powder since 2015. He established Zhongke Yueda (Shanghai) Material Technology Co., Ltd. in 2018, together with SIMIT and Yueda Group. Dr. Ding successfully led the team conquering the technology chain of natural graphite, graphene oxide, graphene thermal conductive film, and overcoming the gap from laboratory technology, pilot process to mass production and application. At present, Dr. Ding with his research team now attempt to conquer the batch preparation of graphene materials with high single-layer ratio, high lattice quality, and controllable lateral size, which will promote the downstream application development of graphene.
