Li Xuesong, a professor at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China and Shenzhen Institute for Advanced Study, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, is a highly cited research (Clarivate). He is the inventor of the method of synthesizing large-area graphene films on copper foil using chemical vapor deposition of methane. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and Master's degree in Materials Processing Engineering from Tsinghua University, and PhD in Materials Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He has conducted postdoctoral and associate research scientist at the University of Texas at Austin, IBM T.J. Watson Research Institute, and Yale University. His research field is the preparation and application of graphene films. More than 80 SCI articles have been published in top journals such as Science and Nature, with over 31000 SCI citations. His work on Large area synthesis of high quality and uniform graphene films on copper foils, published in Science in 2009, was selected by Science as one of the major breakthroughs of 2009, with over 10000 citations. The current research and production mainly use this technology for the preparation of graphene films.
