Jingquan Liu, PhD advisor, Director of the Graphene Research Institute of Qingdao University, and the Director of the Shandong Key Laboratory of Low Dimensional Materials and Polymer Composites. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from the Department of Chemistry at Shandong University in 1989. In 1999 and 2004,he received Master's and Doctoral degrees from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), respectively. From 2004 to 2007, he conducted postdoctoral research fellow at the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) in Australia and the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He served as a Chancellor's Special Researcher at UNSW from 2007 to 2010 before returning to China in 2010. His research focuses on graphene materials, polymer materials, energy storage materials, catalytic materials, sensors, and environmental remediation materials. He has published over 600 papers and 6 bookchapters, and has been granted more than 20 invention patents. He has obtained over 30 national, provincial, and municipal research projects. He has been continuously listed in the World's Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University for 4 consecutive years. He has received Qingdao Natural Science Award, China Analytical and Testing Association Award, Yimeng Friendship Award, and Qilu Friendship Award, among others.
