Professor Sir Konstantin Novoselov is an internationally renowned physicist, best known for his groundbreaking work on graphene which earned him the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2010. He currently serves as the Director of the Institute for Functional Intelligent Materials in Singapore, Tan Chin Tuan Centennial Professor at the National University of Singapore, and Langworthy Professor at the University of Manchester. A Fellow of the Royal Society and a foreign member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, he was also awarded the Chinese Government Friendship Award in 2021. He is acclaimed for pioneering the isolation of graphene and opening up the new field of two-dimensional materials. His recent research focuses on exploring the applications of graphene and other 2D materials in areas such as energy, electronics, and telecommunications, while actively engaging in international scientific collaboration and talent development.
