Ou Mao, male, born in 1964, American citizen. Educational background: Ph.D. and postdoctoral fellow in Canada, graduate student at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Bachelor Degree from the Department of Physics, Zhejiang University/former Hangzhou University.
He previously collaborated with 3M USA in Professor Jeff Dahn's laboratory (now Tesla's Chief Battery Scientist) to develop alloy anode materials for lithium batteries. In late 2000s, he developed world-leading lithium batteries for power tools at a startup in Silicon Valley. From the late 2000s to the early 2010s, he worked at several joint ventures including Johnson Controls/Saft. During the 2010s, he developed multiple generations of lithium battery additive products at a Tsinghua University-affiliated startup backed by American venture capital. In 2022, he began serving as Vice President of Technology at a silicon-carbon anode startup in the United States. Since July 2024, he has been serving as Chief Technology Officer at Jiangsu Huayong Xi Technology.
