Shen Shifu is a professor at the Beijing General Research Institute of mining and metallurgy (BGRIMM) mainly works in fields of mineral processing engineering, mineral materials, advanced non-metallic materials. As the main workers, he has participated in science and technology support programs of 10th Five-year,11th Five-year, 12th Five-year, and national hi-tech industrialization project, national "863" project, national "973" project. He is the leader of the project high pure graphite materials development and its typical application, which is a national science and technology supporting project of the 12th Five-year, and is the leader of a national "863" project of key technology research in high purity and high fluorine graphite with solid phase preparation method. He has a profound research in natural graphite ore beneficiation, graphite deep processing, comprehensive utilization of natural and synthetic graphite, etc. He had obtained nine patents about graphite, and was appointed as the academic leader of the China inorganic chemical engineering society, China non metallic mineral industry association graphite professional committee, China Nonferrous Metals Society of technical experts working committee.
