Dianbo Ruan is a senior engineer(Prof.) and Chief technologist of CSR Corporation Limited(CSR). With a PhD. from Tianjin University,Tianjin, He has been working on Supercapacitor for morethan 15 years and firstly developed the highest organic supercapacitors (7500Fand 9500F) around the word. Meantime, creatively using those cells as the mainpower for Low-floor tramcar and Energy storage trolleybus which made by CSR.Right now, the former has been commercial running in Guangzhou Haizhou Line,and the latter also been operated in Ningbo, Zhejiang.
After insisted on researching andproducing for a long time, he has been awarded for National technicalinvention, Provincial prize and Provincial technological achievementsappraisal. Until now, he has been researched and developed two generationproducts personally, and the generation-II supercapacitors have reached theinternational leading level.
As a high efficiencyenergy storage device, Supercapacitor embrace high power density, long cyclelife and broaden working temperature properties, which make it been regarded asone of the most developing new energy storage devices. After making the highproperties’ Graphene/Activated Carbon composites and optimizing the electrodeproducing technology or cell’s structure, an organic supercapacitor with morethan 7.29Wh/kg energy density and 9500F capacitance was firstly produced atlarge scare around the word. Combined the technology characteristic ofsupercapaictor with rail trasit energy system, the power type cells has beenused in energy storage tramcar and energy storage trolleybus. It is worthnoting that the former tramcar has been commercial operating HaiZhu Line inGuangzhou and the latter has also been operated in Ningbo.
