Dr.Zhuopeng Tan studied materials science and technology at Tsinghua Universityand obtained his Ph.D degree from the University of Maryland at College Park,US in 2008 researching on multiferroics and eventually earned his spot asresearch associate investigating solid state hydrogen storage at NationalInstitute of Standards and Technology (NIST). After 9 years study and researchin the US, Dr. Tan moved back to China and joined Dongguan Camda New Energy,China in 2010 researching on solar thermal absorption thin film where he wasawarded Dongguan High Level Innovation Talent of 2012. His present post is theLead Research Scientist at Sandvik Group R&D China Center based inShanghai. Current interests are the development of materials technologies forenergy and environment applications.
