Peter Nilssonwas born in 1974. He received his M.Sc. in Material Physics in 2000 at UppsalaUniversity in Sweden. Since January 2012 he is CEO at APR Technologies inEnköping, Sweden focusing on new thermal management solutions and sensorsystems/instruments. Between 1999 and 2005 Peter worked with developing MEMSbased solutions for space industry, as R&D Engineer at Uppsala University& ACR Electronics in Sweden, and NASA/JPL in USA developing instrument forMars exploration. Between 2005 and 2012 Peter was R&D Manager/ProjectManager at ÅAC Microtec in Sweden, dealing with microelectronics solutions forvarious applications including high temperature electronics. Peter has a beensupervisor or mentor to a number of M.Sc. students and PhD students and hasalso published some academic articles, conference presentations and patents inthe fields where he has been active, for example the XiVIA through siliconmetallic via for 3-d integration of electronics.
In a small sizedand energy efficient -thermal management system we want to achieve extremelyhigh thermal conductivity in the heat exchanger parts. Graphene based film is onepotential material enabling a size and mass reduction of the heat exchanger.Compared to metal solutions we believe that the graphene based film also can bemass produced with a suitable thickness, size, gas permeability, mechanicalstrength and thermal conduction, in a cost efficient way.
CGIA supports members to focus on application and industry chain, to keep pace with market development, to guarantee industry interests by involving in policy making and establishing standards, and to build long-term cooperation with up-down stream enterprises all over the world.
