Title:RF graphene device-circuit co-design
SymposiumA02 High Frequency Electrics

Abstract

Using graphene as the materialto conceive, design and implement a new generation of transistors with extremehigh frequency capabilities reaching the THz band is crystallizing in a notabledegree of maturity. Out of that, the scientific community is envisioningcircuits encompassing multiple devices in a graphene-based integrated circuitimplementing more sophisticated functionalities towards wireless communicationsapplications. Such functional RF graphene circuits require concurrentlyaddressing the circuit-aware GFET device model extraction, as well as exploringalternative primitive circuits for both baseband and RF functions whichrecognize and exploit the uniqueness of GFET characteristics beyond itshigh-speed capabilities. This talk will address the topic of GFET-based  circuits, specifically for analogandcommunications applications, particularly emphasizing tight jointcharacterization, modeling and circuit co-design, both for the device-circuitinterface, as well as for the RF transceiver and graphene antenna interface, inpursuit of enabling new applications such as Graphene Wireless Networks onchip.
