Erik Hansson,the head of research portfolio & utilization at GCC, is a seasoned technology transfer professional with a broad experience from developing and transacting technology in Europe, the US and Asia. As a former consultant at Konsert Strategy& IP AB, Erik has advised in over 50 projects towards C-level executives in MNCs, as well as PREs, investors and start-ups on how to develop technology and IP strategies.He is a regular speaker at executive educations and at universities in the areas of innovation management, technology transfer and intellectual property.
Erik holds aB.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management and a M.Sc. in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden

Abstract

The presentation outlines how the Graphene Centre at Chalmers University in Sweden is working with utilization of research results. More specifically, tools for how to improve technology transfer by managing research processes as portfolios of intellectual assets will be discussed. The presentation will show how these tools provide a more in-depth understanding of Chalmers graphene position, facilitates communication in collaborations with industry and enables improved IP protection.
