Christoph StampferPhysics Department of the RWTH Aachen University
Christoph Stampfer is full professor for experimental physics andhead of the 2nd Institute of Physics A at the RWTH AachenUniversity. He studied electrical engineering and technical physics at theVienna University of Technology in Austria. He completed his doctorate in microand nanosystems technology in the Department of Mechanical and ProcessEngineering at ETH Zurich (Switzerland). Later he took up a position as apostdoc in the nanophysics group at the Department of Physics at ETH Zurich,where he conducted pioneering experiments on graphene nanostructures. Since2009, Christoph Stampfer has been researching as a JARA-FIT professor at RWTHAachen University and Forschungszentrum Jülich, where he focuses oncarbon-based nanoelectronics. He holds an ERC Starting Grant to work on"Graphene Quantum Electromechanical Systems" and he is partnerof the EU Graphene Flagship.
