Shouwu Guo is currently a professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He serves also as a scientist-in-chief for Shanghai Tan Yuan Graphene Co., LTD, and the associate director of MOE Key Lab for Thin Film and Ultrafine Technology at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Shouwu received his doctorate degree from Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel, in 1999, and worked as postdoctoral and research scientist in University of Minnesota and Northwestern University, USA, from 1999 to 2005. His research interests are always focused on the controlled fabrications and applications of low dimensional nanomaterials, energy storage materials and devices based on graphene, and the novel nanoscaled catalytic systems and sensors. He has published more than 70 papers in peer-reviewed journals, holds more than 17 patents, and has been conferred several awards including Pujiang Talents Scholarship of Shanghai (2006), Hundred Talents Program of Chinese Academy of Science (2003), Sanqin Scholarship of Shanxi Province (2011)，and Innovation Talents Award of Jiangsu Province (2013).
