Introduction:

Graphene has advantage over traditional materials to accord with absorbing materials requirement of "thin, light, wide, strong". Moreover, it possess good mechanics, electromagnetism and microwave absorbing properties. And graphene/magnetic nanoparticles composite has the magnetic and dielectric loss. Research shows that graphene based nanocomposites is the potential stealth materials arising from good interference effect on infrared laser system and infrared thermal imager. The topic will discuss the progress and technical bottleneck for composite absorbing wave structure based on graphene. In addition, owing to ultrathin, high strength, high toughness properties, graphene provides a possible opportunity for the production of super-light body armor, strength increases dozens of times, the weight is reduced to dozens or even hundredths of original. Research shows that graphene fiber can be used in body armor clothing as reinforcing material, which is made of graphene composite by wet winding. The topic will discuss research progress and future research direction on graphene used in military functional materials field, such as stealth materials, body armor materials, et al.
